Hey there!

I’m Mike Hosoda,
aka The Wheelchair Crowdsurfer.

Creativity isn’t about the advantage or disadvantage of a specific
time or culture. Creativity is something that comes internally
from a human being having a genuine mistrust of rules.
And that may be the constant.

It’s almost like there’s some rebellion in it.

I’m the creative force behind RONIN CREATIVE.

As a queer, disabled, first-generation Japanese-American designer, my path has been shaped by a rich tapestry of experiences.

From the sunny shores of Florida to the bright lights of Las Vegas, my design philosophy has evolved to blend the precision of Swiss Modernism with the strength of Brutalism, all through the mediums of type and texture.

My approach to design is deeply personal, reflecting my heritage and my passion for clean, impactful expression. While I’ve learned a lot through traditional education, I’m also self taught in many aspects and consider myself a lifelong student of design, with a personal library that’s always growing.

RONIN CREATIVE is where I challenge the expected, creating designs that aren’t just about looks but about making bold statements and sparking meaningful conversations. Whether it’s developing a unique brand identity or paying homage to my favorite cultural icons, I strive to create work that’s authentic and resonates deeply.

In Las Vegas, a city of dreams and endless possibilities, I’ve found the perfect backdrop for my work. Here, I’m not just making designs; I’m crafting legacies that are bold, genuine, and unmistakably me.

Be Bold. Go Rogue.
